Pitch Black

Pitch Black
It was 2:30am.  It was pitch black,  I was crammed on the back of the landing boats outside of Z beach waiting for our turn to land.
I was holding my gun like it was my life. I was paralyzed with fear.
Suddenly out of the dark a massive blinding flash lit up the whole sky.
The Turkish have spotted us. I was shocked. Immediately the Turkish began  shooting. 

I ducked down. The killing bullets flew over my head.
There were soldiers dying all around me brains were exploding. It was a bloodbath of death. All my nightmares had come true.      We were commanded to leave the boat.  I could smell fear all through the rowing boat

Here we go again into the pitch black……

Think about an activity that you do, or a sporting activity you belong to and make a list of the rules that members need to follow.  For each rule, briefly explain why this rule has been put in place.

The Rule is …..	Why this rule has been put in place…..
No holding the ball unless you're a Goalkeeper.	Because it would be unfair to the other team because they could just run and throw the ball into the goal.
No punching or kicking or painful contact.	Because someone could get hurt.
No arguing with the referee.	Because it will create conflict and your get a red card.
No slide tackles  against a  player.	Because they will fall and get hurt.
No bad language	Because it will show bad sportsmanship and it will hurt other people’s feelings.
You have to stay inside of the boundaries.	Because you could just run around the court and kick the ball in the goal.

Cyber Safety Speech

Cyber-Safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Blogs, Chat Rooms, Texting, Myspace, FaceBook, Twitter, these are all different types of social networking sites, but who says they’re safe ?

I think  that all these sites are a very nice way to socialise but people have to be aware of  many things like cyberbullying,viruses and identity theft and much more.But there are many other advantages of using these sites including gaining knowledge,learning about other cultures and making new friends.  

Our parents buy these technical gizmos  for us such as ipads,laptops and  other different types of technology But is it a good idea? There is still a lot we don’t know about The Internet  Technology has many positive uses, BUT it has just as many negative uses!!!Technology is changing everyday and as it changes more and more social networking sites are created. And as these are created our lives change and we become more and more addicted to the internet and social networking... Which is good in a very small way.

Now people may think that there is nothing wrong with social networks and that they are completely safe...but  are they?Facebook,Twitter and all the other social networking sites out there are very popular.But some people misuse these sites... For cyber bullying.You may be wondering what cyber bullying is...And  I think it needs to be explained . 

Cyber bullying is when you get bullied or someone threatens you on the internet.So now that you know what cyber bullying is I am going to give you a few bits and tips of information about cyber safety and cyber bullying.

FirstlyYou never know if someone is actually who you think they are just by reading their name and what they say about themselves throughout the internet.There are many nasty people out there so never friend or follow anyone if you are not sure who they are.

Secondly,Never put your personal information online.because People can see this and if their bad enough they will use it to track you down or harm you.And last but not least...Stand up and speak out! If you see or know your friend is being cyberbullied, support them and report the bullying.As the number of internet users continue to grow worldwide, internet safety is a growing concern for both children and adults. because of...cyber bullying so remember be cyber-safe, and be cyber-smart.
