Peace Sense Poem
I am learning to write a Poem about Peace One Day using my senses.
I am so proud of being able to make my work more colourful and vivid.
It can be tricky to find descriptive and interesting words to use in my sentences.
My Teacher can help me by checking my work and giving me feedback.
The next step for me in my learning is to write another Peace Poem.

Pitch Black
Pitch Black
It was 2:30am. It was pitch black, I was crammed on the back of the landing boats outside of Z beach waiting for our turn to land.
I was holding my gun like it was my life. I was paralyzed with fear.
Suddenly out of the dark a massive blinding flash lit up the whole sky.
The Turkish have spotted us. I was shocked. Immediately the Turkish began shooting.
I ducked down. The killing bullets flew over my head.
There were soldiers dying all around me brains were exploding. It was a bloodbath of death. All my nightmares had come true. We were commanded to leave the boat. I could smell fear all through the rowing boat
Here we go again into the pitch black……

Reflection I am learning to write an interesting recount.I am so proud of making my recount interesting by using similes and adjectives.It can be tricky to the right adjectives for the right sentence.My buddy can help me by checking my work.The next step for me in my learning is to write an even better recount.

No holding the ball unless you're a Goalkeeper.
|
Because it would be unfair to the other team because they could just run and throw the ball into the goal.

No punching or kicking or painful contact.
|
Because someone could get hurt.
|
No arguing with the referee.
|
Because it will create conflict and your get a red card.
|
No slide tackles against a player.
|
Because they will fall and get hurt.
|
No bad language
|
Because it will show bad sportsmanship and it will hurt other people’s feelings.
|
You have to stay inside of the boundaries.
|
Because you could just run around the court and kick the ball in the goal.
